Discipleship Training Academy

Who: Catholic young adults, 18–30 yrs
When: August 3–19, 2007
Where: St. Paul, MN, University of St. Thomas
Cost: $550 + airfare
(fundraising training available)

For two weeks in August 2007, Youth Arise will be collaborating with St. Paul’s Outreach, to sponsor the Discipleship Training Academy. The two weeks will consist of household living, discipleship formation and training, common prayer, meals, and fellowship. The courses in discipleship will cover areas such as prayer, servanthood, forgiveness, humility, worship, and community. The DTA is just one part of a larger training called the School of the New Evangelization (SNE).

This SNE is sponsored by St. Paul’s Outreach, and consists of 150 college students and young adults, simultaneously participating in three sets of training:

• Discipleship Training Academy
• Campus Outreach Academy
• Leadership Training Academy

If you are interested in attending the DTA, but are short on funds, please read this PDF. It is a tool to present to your local parish, giving them an explanation of the DTA. This may aid in any fundraising efforts through the pastor/parish.
