Summer's here // May 23, 2005
The summer's blazing heat has made its way once again into our lives.   It is ruthless and relentless.   It does not give regard to women or small children; it burns without discretion.   Sure, everyone always says the "But its a dry-heat" bit, but there's not too much humidity inside an oven either.   For those who have yet to spend a summer here in lovely Tempe, AZ- many have asked "what exactly IS a summer like?"   Some have suggested drinking a bottle of Spontaneous CombustionŠ Hot Sauce, then proceeding immediately to set your clothing on fire.   Children should not attempt this unsupervised.   But nevertheless, we shall not be conquered by the inferno that is summer, and when the rest of Arizona is thinking about pool parties and watermelons and the Suns making it to the Western Conference Finals, we're diligently getting ready for WYD in Germany, and the '05 Institute is set to start at the beginning of August.   Eat some watermelons.

We launch version 3.0!!!!! // May 15, 2005
What a glorious day.   We have arrived upon a monumental occasion that will forever be remembered in the recordings of history.   A bit dramatic, but indeed, after months and months of intensive manipulation of pixels and lines and letters, we have now before us version 3.0 of the Youth Arise North America website.   There's lots of great stuff to see.   Be sure and check out all the info on the Institute, and don't miss the sweet Photo Gallery.   Check back often, we'll keep you posted on all the YANA happenings.
A couple people really need to be thanked: Joel Stein- thank you for your hours and hours of hard work in making this a reality, you are an incredible servant.   Joel, thank you thank you thank you.   And to Ryan Cascardo, who is truly a gifted photographer, and generous enough to allow us free reign on a bunch of his pics.
So check out the site- there's nuggets of joy for all who are attentive readers.
